Frequently asked questions

What is Crossbook?
Crossbook is a deterministic AI decision layer for product managers. It auto-ingests signals from JIRA, Zendesk, Slack, Intercom, Gong, and HubSpot — then tells you what to build, what NOT to build, and why. Every decision is backed by cited evidence, not AI guesses.
How is Crossbook different from Productboard or Canny?
Productboard organizes feedback into lists — you still spend weeks synthesizing manually. Canny is a voting board that surfaces the loudest voice, not the highest impact. Crossbook is different: it runs 7 AI agents in parallel that cluster signals by root cause, check them against your company's OKRs and anti-goals, and output a ranked decision matrix with rejected items, prioritized actions, and filtered noise — in under 1 second.
Who is Crossbook built for?
Product managers at B2B SaaS companies (10-300 employees) who are drowning in scattered feedback from multiple tools and making roadmap decisions based on gut feel or stakeholder politics instead of evidence.
What tools does Crossbook integrate with?
JIRA, Zendesk, Slack, Intercom, Gong, and HubSpot. You can also upload CSV/Excel files or paste feedback manually. All integrations use read-only API tokens — connect once, signals flow automatically.
How does the AI analysis work?
Crossbook analyzes your signals against your company's goals and constraints. It clusters feedback by root cause, scores by revenue impact and frequency, and outputs a ranked decision — what to build, what to reject, and what's noise. Every recommendation cites the exact tickets that drove it.
Is Crossbook free?
Yes. Crossbook is free to use right now. Sign in with Google and start analyzing your feedback immediately. We'll introduce paid plans in the future for teams and enterprise features.
Can I customize what gets rejected?
Yes. You define your company's goals, anti-goals (things you will NOT build), and constraints. Crossbook checks every signal against these rules automatically. If something violates your strategy, it gets rejected with a cited reason.
How is my data secured?
All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) via Supabase and encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) via Vercel. API tokens are stored encrypted and never logged. All integrations are read-only — Crossbook cannot modify your JIRA tickets, Zendesk tickets, or Slack messages. You can disconnect any integration and delete your data at any time.
Is Crossbook SOC 2 compliant?
We are in the process of SOC 2 Type I certification. Our current security posture includes: AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, OAuth 2.0 authentication (Google), rate limiting on all API endpoints, read-only integrations, and the ability to revoke access and delete data at any time. For enterprise security requirements, contact us.
Can I revoke access to my connected tools?
Yes. Go to the Integrations page, click 'Disconnect' on any tool, and the API token is deleted immediately. Crossbook only stores read-only tokens and cannot write to or modify your external tools.
Where is my data stored?
Data is stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS) with encryption at rest. The application is deployed on Vercel's edge network. We do not sell, share, or use your data for training AI models.
How much does it cost compared to alternatives?
Crossbook is free right now. When we introduce pricing, our Pro plan will be $49/month — compared to Productboard ($20/maker/month, needing 3-4 makers = $60-80), Canny ($79/month), and Enterpret ($500-1000+/month). We're 10x cheaper than enterprise alternatives.
Can I export my analysis results?
Yes. Every decision can be exported as a Markdown file that you can paste into Notion, Confluence, or share with your team. The export includes prioritized actions, rejected items, and verbatim evidence citations.
